    Top Speeds!

Hey guys! I'm looking at the RZ4 as a potential buy in the future and I was wondering what the top speed on that thing is!
Obviously there are different engines so if you guys could tell me which engine has which top speed that'd be great, but more specifically I'm looking at either of the supercharged engines' top speeds, but I'd still like to know the rest of my options. Thanks!
And yes I have looked everywhere and cannot find ALL of their top speeds.

With the base 343 engine and the 537 prop, our top speed was somewhere around 43 or so. Now have the 1631 prop, but haven't tried WOT yet. Approx 2100' elevation.

Thanks for the feedback! Does anyone else have any info on any of the other engines/props?

You may try Boat Test .com. They have tested many RZ4's .To my recollection the fastest i've seen one go is 45mph,but 43 to 44 is the norm.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

Thanks Robert! I checked out your link, but I was only given the 2 smaller engines' information, if anyone has any information on the larger engines/props I would love to hear what you know about them.

You're going to be in the 40's depending on the prop/engine. I don't recall seeing any wakeboard boats in the 50's except for a Mastercraft X80 that had dual engines with superchargers on them. These boats aren't designed to go fast, they're designed to put out a nice wake.

Knowing the top speed of a surf and wake-board boat is super important because at every gas station and public dock, someone is going to ask "how fast does it go"

If you are asking about top speed to know if you can barefoot behind it - I can tell you that we did have someone barefoot behind ours last year. If you want to know top speed because you plan on cruising long distances at WOT - well, just plan to suck down a lot of gas and still be slower than almost any sterndrive boat

They don't put the supercharged engine in for top speed, they put that in for running 5,000 lbs of ballast. I think they really offer that as an option because Exxon secretly commissioned it to make more profit.

X2, my RZ2 with the PCM 343 (343hp) tops out at 43, my 1993 Bayliner Classic 2250 with a 200hp engine topped out at 48. However, my RZ2 is a tractor in the water compared to the Bayliner. Getting a 200lb guy out of the water with my Bayliner was very difficult, but I can pull a 200lb guy out of the water with a boat full of 10 guys and ballast no problem. These are not speed boats, they are more like tractor pull contenders.

Top speed on a wakeboard boat wont ever hit past 60... the hull flat out wont do it.. I know a guy with the malibu corvette boat and it wont go faster no matter how much power he adds to the already crazy amount it has with the LS7 in it

And I would hardly call the Bu Corvette a "wakeboard boat". More like a pretty Frankenboat from a wake boat company.
