    Hard tank drain pump location

Ok, I know where all the pumps are located for filling the bags & hard tanks but where are the pumps located that drain the hard tanks located? I can follow the drain hose to the floor and that is it.

Anyone have a picture of the floor removed and visibility of the pump?

I found where the hose fills the hard tank.
    Thanks

Could the pump be under the battery platform? Does the whole floor come up to expose the hard tank?
    Thanks

The dealer did tell me that the drain pumps were on the back of the tank near the transom. I have never pulled the floor but the service manager told me its not easy and takes about an hour if you know what you are doing. The whole floor does come up to where the floor level changes under the flip over corner seats.

What are you trying to do? I may be able to help as I just added to and redid my ballast.

More for knowledge than anything just in case I needed to get to that pump.

However, my buddy has a Z3 and the rear port pump does not throw out (drain) the water with good force as the other pumps. I wanted to trace the hose to the pump and see if the hose is restricted for some reason. It's like it only has half drain pressure on his 2013 Z3.

Got some pictures from reliable Jean from Tige! She is fantastic.
Pumps for the hard tank are like under the floor of the battery area.
To get access to the hard tank or pump, you will need to remove the batteries depending on the side you are working on, battery "box" pannels, all the side pannels and some srews that hold the floor down. Sounds like some major work if you eed to repalce out that pump!tank2.jpgtank3.jpg

You dont need to removed the floor to replace the motor if the housing is good.. Just remove battery try and the pumps right there..

And to remove the battery tray there is two 10mm nuts you remove to remove the Black board witch the battery trays are screwed to.. The threads the nuts are on are locked in to you dont need to put a wrench on the under side to remove nuts

Fantastic pictures. I believe if you own a boat, you need to be comfortable with working on it when necessary. Most boat maintenance is common sense. The trick is getting access to what you are working on.

There are 2 hoses that run to the top hard tanks. The hose closest to the bow is the vent hose. The hose closest to the stern is the hard tank fill hose that comes off a T fitting from the main supply hose that also goes to fat sack fill fitting.

So is this pic the port tank and we are looking forward?

I see what looks to be the cover that folds up surf sac so if that boat has the surf/pro ballast, how does that sac's plumbing run after it disappears below the floor?

                              Thanks for the info guys.
