Is there any reason why a dealer would still be holding on to a 2012 Tige when the 2014s are starting to arrive at dealerships? Is that a sign of not wanting to budge on the price or maybe an issue with the boat itself? Just seems strange to me to hold on to a 2 year old boat. I know there a lot of dealers on here so feel free to share your ideas.

Not any reason I could think of. Older it gets the tougher it is to get a decent price for. You can maybe convince someone a 1 year old holdover is still worth XXXXX amount of money(2013 now). But once they are 2 years old IMO they aren't worth any more than used, because the day you title it its now a 2 year old used boat. There was a thread on WW a few weeks about this and most agreed it was something to stay away from as a buyer unless they are just giving them away(NADA for a 2 year old used boat). There is a reason that boat is sitting there. Whether its price or the color or missing key options or loaded with expensive options no one wants. That boat(or boats) is losing value as we speak and I don't see why they wouldn't dump it and take the loss and be done.
We are talking a brand new 0 hour boat? Not a 20 hour owners demo or something?

An odd color, over priced due to added options and accessories, not the right boat for the market, etc, etc, could all be reasons for a left over 2012. Unless the dealer has put too many hours on it, warranty starts at time of delivery IIRC.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I have my used 2013 with 30 hours listed at about 70% of MSRP and I think I have it sold if either of 2 people follow thru. So I would think a 2012 left over would have to be better than 30% off MSRP.

I wish boat buying was more like buying a car. I guess my problem is I want a great deal with a a color combo that I love. Oh well, I will continue to be patient. Im on year 2 of browsing.

I believe there are several people on here that have done this. I know that WABoating for sure did this as he bought his boat from Dom Forte in Florida and WA lives in Washington. Ultimately, Tige wants to see you in a Tige. Their rules for new boats are to help keep the dealership's doors open so that you have a place to have your boat serviced and cared for.

I have been told it does not apply to non current boats, and of course used. They can also sell you a boat with permission from Tige Corporate out of territory. But then you have to have the boat warranty and free service done at the dealer you bought it from.
I wish they worked like cars too, but with the protected territories its much different.

making the assumption based on your location that you are in boise
my tige was sold to me by tyrell at prestige in boise and came from the dealership in idaho falls. tyrell can move it for you, but he might not offer the same price.
that dealership in idaho falls is primarily a fishing/river boat dealer. they couldn't even provide decent pics as they don't know how to use the internet/email effectively. I only saw cell pics and good luck getting a fax..
my only advice is if you do work a deal on that boat, check the specs on the trailer. they don't do a ton of wakeboats and I wish my trailer was spec'ed differently.
if I were you, I would try to get thru prestige as it will make service much easier.
tell them scott with the pink tige sent ya2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17
