I'll take a few pics of mine tomorrow. If you live in a place with beating down sun or if you have little ones you want to keep in the shade then I highly recommend the extension, as crazy expensive as a 2' piece of cloth and bars is, it's worth it.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

The surf Bimini and Bimini extension are 2 seperate items. The surf Bimini is a standard length Bimini with pockets sewn into the top to hold surf boards. The Bimini extension can be zipped onto the standard Bimini or the surf Bimini.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.

Ewok, thanks for the info. I look forward to your pics. We do our boating in North Carolina and it can get pretty darn hot if the kids are swimming or struggling to get up on a board. We ordered the boat with both the Surf Bimini and the Bimini Extension then realized we hadn't seen any pictures of that set up.
Bibbs, thanks for the pic.

I'll try to take pics later (torrential rain right now. GRR!!) We have the surf bimini with the extension. I would say that if we'd had a hot summer (like last summer) I would be VERY thankful for the bimini extension. It can make it more difficult to get the surf boards into the pockets to store, but it's something that can easily be managed. The extension comes to the edge of our seating in the 2013 RZ4.

My dealer said to me, "if you put two pair of speakers on the tower, you risk knocking yourself out."
For several seasons I ran four speakers (Pro60s inner, MB8 outer). This season I upgraded to a single set of Rev10s. One set of speakers vs two on the Alpha Z tower makes a BIG difference imhop. You do not risk knocking yourself out but you do bump your head more with two pair. The single set of Rev10s sound better too and are plenty loud for us. Interesting that the 10" Rev10 enclosure was about the same same as the 8" MB8.

Duncan,
We demo'd a 2013 Z3 with a pair of the Rev10s. Lots of sound! And I bumped my head on the Alpha Z tower! With a second set of speakers and the need to get to the back of the boat quickly, I think I'd be risking serious injury, be it to me or the speakers!
I've been warned about the need to duck when entering the boat with the extension. Just have to wait for the boat to arrive and tread carefully!
