Tried our New towable Tige' cover today and it was awesome! The fit was perfect and the ratchet straps snug it down real nice! After we got our boat we were bumbed to here the the cover we were going to get were for moring only then were surprised to here that the new covers were infact towable so that was a nice surprise and now to see that it works and there is not flapping around! I had been researching to buy one that was towable. Way to go Tige'

Tony, a quick question. I recently purchased an 06' 24 foot ve and probably received the same cover you did from Tige. I did not read the packaging info about the cover as far as the using the cover while towing. I opted not to use this cover on long trips for fear of scuffing the
gel coat. Have you noticed any scuffing? I was planning on purchasing a cover for towing from Adlee in Corona. Having been referred to them and talking with them they assured me their covers would not scuff the boat while in tow. Also, they have one that covers deeper down on the hull. Pretty expensive though.

firefry, No scuffing at all. The cover does not move at all going down the freeway. I was traveling between 55-60 mph. The instructions say The vacu-Hold system allows you to travel 65 mph without billowing or buffeting. It works great. I was completely stoked about it. Our salesman didn't know they were available! I was bummed when he first told us we couldn't tow with the cover on. Our previous Boat had a snap on cover. So like you I was shopping for a Towable cover because I feel that is a must! Try it ! You will like it!

I agree with Tony - I don't see how the new cover could create scuffing of the gelcoat since it doesn't move. I posted a picture of our cover and although its not the greatest picture it'll give you an idea. The picture is in the following thread

Man, I'm not sure we're talking about the same cover. Mine is not the same as CFORD's cover in the picture. I do not have the vent ducts. I have several straps all around the boat anchoring it to the trailer and then a winch system on both sides to draw the cover snug. Is that the same as yours tony? I'm at work today so I can't even look to tell you the manufacture for comparison. Anyway I'll give it a try on my next outing. Heading out to Havasu next week. Thanks for the input.

If your in the OKC area, use Boatman's. They make custom everything. They made my trailerable cover, has the air flow through design, covers the Teak and doesn't move and I have towed it at 75 in the rain and everything, AWESOME.
They also made my Bimini and it is GREAT as well.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

The cover on my 06 20i looks just like the one in CFord's picture. Mine has rubbed some of the powder coating off of the windshild frame and has also rubbed on the gel coat above the rubrail from the rear tower mount to the transom.
The cover fits like a drum on the front half of the boat and there is no damage there, but it seems a little wide on the back half of the boat. I have the two rear straps as tight as they will go and the ratchet straps as tight as I can get them without breaking something. The cover is still loose in the rear and can move when traveling.
I am going to see my dealer tomorrow to see what we can figure out. We might have the local canvas shop sew something soft inside the cover everywhere it contacts the boat.
Has anyone else had a problem with their cover?
