Question for those that ordered new boats this season
It took roughly 12 weeks to get our boat, we ordered it around the first week in Feb. We finally got it yesterday, I feel your pain brotha.
What did you order?

About 11 weeks... We ordered the first week in October and picked up the boat on December 23... I suspect that now the order line is a little busier given boat show season etc... The wait is hard...but you will be very happy when your new ride shows... Tell us about your order...
We ordered a 22ve. I'll be sure to post some pics when we get it. Ordered it toward the end of January, and was told by the factory rep at the show that the build time was 6-8 weeks. They missed on that one just a bit! Very frustrated b/c I sold my Supra the week following my Tige order, counting on the fact that I'd definitely have a boat by now. We've had a couple of 90 deg weekends in South Carolina, so needless to say, I've dearly missed having something to put on the water. Thanks for the feedback all.
tjspacewrangler,
what reason are they giving you for such a delay? You are now at the double the time of 6 weeks. What are they telling you as to how they are going to expedite the process?
Why does Tige even say their boats can be built and delivered in 5 weeks. We have ordered 2 new tiges, the first one took 3 months when we were told 5 weeks. Our family just ordered a 24 ve this spring, we even put money down to hold a February production slot. Guess what, we still don't have the boat, so again it will be 3 months. Delivery is scheduled for May 12th. Finally, I know, be patient. I think the Tige factory needs to step up to the plate and quote their dealers realistic time tables instead of feeding them so much bullcrap. I am not impressed with Tige at all anymore. Tige, step up and start producing your boats when your buyers pay for production slots, not a month and a half later.

My dealer is telling us that the factory has had delays related to the new factory, parts coming in from different manufacturers, etc. It's been really frustrating, considering other manufacturers/dealers quoted what (now) seems like more realistic delivery dates. I think Tige should step up and make some concessions to those of us that have waited twice as long as promised.
I guess I'm just frustrated like everyone else, but it just seems like they've jerked alot of folks (including their dealers) around. To order a boat in late January, and still not have it in early May, just seems ridiculous to me, especially when they're telling prospective buyers at the boat show that the build time is 6-8 weeks.
tjspacewrangler,
Read the whole article dated 01.31.06 under the news section when you first log on. In this article TIGE talks about "dramaticaly increasing efficiency"...."triple the production capacity"..."boost product quality and production efficiency" of their new facility.
Just a thought instead of getting this thread ramped up into another hate fest...why not go to one of the administrators...Matt or Andrew and see if they can't help track down exactly where your boat is in the process...perhaps there is a snafu that they can help correct and get things moving... Good luck on the boat and as I mentioned before, you will be completely jazzed once it arrives but the wait is heck to be sure...
I agree with Wrangler, I think its time Matt or Andrew chime in and tell everyone why the production has been so terrible this spring. Incentives would be nice. If Tige was in any other industry they would be closing shop, the wakeboarding industry is the only place they could get away with such poor delivery on what they promise.
Let's not forget that Tige just opened the new facility. I don't care who you are or in what manufacturing business your in, when you open a new faciity, there are going to be bugs in the system. Plus the fact that the word is out that Tiges are the shiznit so the customer base keeps growing. It's not that hard to flood a scedule when your already running a tight ship. It sounds like what Tige hasn't done is put somebody on the phone to call all, yes ALL the people waiting for their boats and let them know what the story is. **** happens and everybody undestands that as long as you let them know that **** has happened. These boats are expensive and it is a huge commitment from the buyers. A 5 min. phone call goes a long way in calming the already freyed nerves of an anxiuos buyer, especially if it comes from the manufacturer themselves and is not relayed through a dealer which, no matter how true it is, usually sounds like BS. Come on Tige, we all love ya' but ya' gotta love us back.
Well put NICKYPOO. It seems like Tige really likes to let their dealers look bad. A call from the factory definately would have been nice, and maybe some incentives for people who dropped a grand to reserve a production slot, then got one a month and a half later.
