    Interior Vinyl

I had a question about the interior vinyl. Is there any way to get the interor to be white instead of grey or tan? We boat a lot on the Colorado River with Temps reaching over 105 most of the time. I am worried the vinyl would be too hot with the darker colors.

Thanks for your comment! I have been very vocal that if that problem is not fixed, I will actually consider a different brand when I feel a need to upgrade. We have temps over 110 and the dark vinyl is unbearable. I should not have to watch where I step on the sundeck in the summer.

I think for a gazillion dollar upgrade, you could have the local vinyl shop take off the dark and put a lighter color on for you.

I actually talked with the guys at Tige today and they said they "might" be able to get it done in all white if the boat is built in the off season. The guy I talked to has his boat interior in all white. I will not buy a boat that is going to burn me everthing I sit down. Plus the white that is on the boats is right where the back of your legs is going to hit which can make the white very dirty.

If not I leave the skins off and just send the foam and I will get it done at a local shop.

I agree that white is hot but is also shows dirt and marks better than a color interior. We have so many towels in the boat that I just use them to cover the seats and dry out the towels.

I had a 2002 and it had a slightly off white vinyl that was dynamite. The color did not stain like the bright white I have in my 05, and it was not hot either.

I have white in my boat and it's three years old and stillooks new. Granted I spend an Hour after every lake trip cleaning everything

The seating surfaces on mine are all white or platinum (slightly offwhite grey). In Texas, we see temps anywhere from 95 to 105 from march to october, so I put a lot of thought into my interior. Although the platinum is a little hotter than the white, its not bad.

Still, I keep an extra 5 gallon bucket onboard for soaking the area above the engine (and whoever might be wearing a bikini while tanning on it!).
