I'm hooking up the viper write today and I'll report back.

My Speedo issue was a bad paddle wheel shaft.

You can find those micro terminals for

No engine hours logged, that is correct. I confirmed this as I put another two hours on last night with the viper wire hooked up and hours were logged. Someone else who has the switch hooked up without the viper wire would need to confirm this, because there could have been a different malfunction with the TT on my boat causing a logging malfunction.

On Minnetonka, I live near Halsteads and Cooks bay so I'm usually over there, but I seem to be launching a lot at North Arm lately because it's been so windy. Maybe I'll see you around. I've got a red, white, and black Z1

I have done this install with a setup I built from amazon.. let me tell you this its a must have... I serious must have.. You can be riding then turn the engine off without having to turn the ballast drains back on.. so ballast stays filling or draining no matter what you do with the key... Also its nice to have the radio stay on or off no matter key position.. This is a great update let me tell you.. ANd it will work on any boat with TT

What is the part number for your Amazon switch? Are you running through the 20 pin connector? Does Tige Touch function as designed on your 2011 Tige? Where did you relocate the horn button?

Drilled a hole right below where is used to be.. so its on the bottom side.of that panel. And yes I ran the 20pin wire. I like where I put it a lot better than where they are putting it. Its annoying they wouldnt sell this as an upgrade on the older tt systems as its annoying to shut the boat off after a set while ballasts is draining and having to restart everything

Wicked, thanks for posting the pic. I will definatly be stealing this idea. I agree that it is better placement and you don't have to cut into the vinyl. Great work, thanks for sharing!

The parts list I got from my dealer included a 560ohm .5W resistor. I assumed it went inline before the 20pin connector.

Did you use a resistor Wicked?

Houston - we didn't get any type of resistor with the kit that our dealer sent to us. Either that is something that is inconsistant or possibly not needed, or at least I hope it's not needed!

Over the weekend I turned off the button while the engine was running and noticed that the gauges including engine temperature turned off as well as the Tige Touch and everything else. Maybe on 2012's and older models the temperature warning alarm is tied into this and would not go off if the engine is running but the acc button is off. This would be a valid reason why Tige would not want the button for older models as it could be a huge liability.
