Some details on the Switch Kit:
Below is a photo of what I recieved from my dealer as part of the Switch "Magic Button" kit. As mentioned, it included the switch with wiring attached, covered with very nice/thick adhesive shrink wrap, with ring terminals on a couple of the wires and then the "special" wire, mine is redThe connecting wire connection and the spade connector mentioned in the instructions are not included.
For a company that does what it does, I am suprised that the wiring by most standards has a few things wrong. The wiring on the switch appears to be 16 AWG and the fittings (yellow ring terminals) are for 10-12 AWG, so they folded the wire over to make it "larger" instead of using blue (14-16 AWG) crimp connectors. I would have thought they would also use heat shrink terminals or applied heat shrink since this is marine application. Just my
I did measure the wires, measurements are from the front trim ring on the switch to the back of the wire, not including the crimp terminals. I measured this way in the event the measurement matters (don't know since I have not installed) and you wish to create a kit with a different switch.
Switch Wires (16 AWG):
Red Wire: 26"
Black Wire: 25.5"
Brown Wire: 13"
20 Pin Wire (mine is Red, others mention white): 15"

Below is a pic of the terminal on the 20 pin connection. This wire appears to be 18 AWG and from some wiring assemblies we do at work, I matched this up against a Molex MX150L series terminal and it appears to be a match. This could be an issue for most as the terminal does require a specific crimp tool and the hand tools for this run our shop around +/- $300 each.

I hope that this provides some insight. If you need more info, let me know and I can see what I can do."I think I am pretty smart for an idiot"

I just installed my ebay switch,

I mounted it next to the horn button so it was out of the way

I didn't bother with the viper switch until someone verifies it really does anything. So far so good!

I'm not sure if this is coincidence or not, my switch worked perfect the first day I had the boat out(no viper wire hooked up), everything worked flawlessly. I swapped out my prop the next day to a 1235 and yesterday my speedometer gauge on the dash and in the TT wasn't working. No engine hours were logged either. I'm hooking up the viper write today and I'll report back.
