Just wanted to put in a plug for last week's Wake the World event in Oregon.
This was our second year participating in this event. Vince Castronovo did an OUTSTANDING job putting this event on. This year there were 30+ boats, 120 foster kids and countless volunteers that worked on the shore, behind the scenes, vendors, donors and who know what else.
To make it easier and less space, for a ton of Photos and info about the event, check out the FaceBook pages of Wake the World Oregon and Jon Currier Photography. The photos on Jon's facebook page are incredible and I still cannot say enogh good things about Vince.
As all of us on this site are avid boat enthusists, witnessing a few keys feats at this event was spectacular; watching 32 boats launch on a two ramp boat launch in about 25 minutes was truly a cool sight to see, such a wide variety of boats & crews in one place (everyone seemed to be interested in each others boat/brand), lots of sharing equipment like boats, tubes and PFD's. and most import, getting kids out on the water that may or might never get this opportunity.
So again, take a minute and check out those FaceBook sites, you won't be disappointed and also consider getting involved in an event in you area.
