We are planning a weekend trip this coming weekend, and was wondering if anyone had any info about the lake. We have seen it, but never had a chance to go play on it. So does anyone have any advise? Is there any good places to eat, surf, deep water, where to go or not to go, where to put it at? ect.. Also is there any shallow spots that we need to avoid? I'm not sure how low the lake level is, but it didn't manage to bother about 200 boats that we seen.

I havent been on that lake since I was a little rug rat so I cant comment on it. However, it looks like its down almost 10 1/2 feet. http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/canyon/
A good place it eat and hang out is Gruene Hall in New Braunfels (about 20 minutes away). Also TSR Cable Park is close by too.

I haven't made a trip to PK this year, but they say that there are a couple of ramps you can use. I did hear is was a tad low. I guess just like everywhere else.
Texoma is a great lake. Three years ago we hit it a just the right time. NO WIND! It was glass accross the entire lake! Not too many boats either.
Thanks for the info on Canyon Bryancm! We will check it out. What was the depth when you were there?

I live on Canyon Lake, my response might be a bit late for you Roostergolf, but if anyone else is interested in visiting us: Can get crowded and rough on the weekends so don't expect to get much riding done. On weekdays you'll pretty much will have the lake to yourself and you can ride all you want. Also, later in the season the crowds thin out.
Level is okay, think we're down about 10' but still plenty of water, ramps start to close so the open ones get busy.
Water is a beautiful aquamarine color. I use to fly over it all the time on business trips and it looked like an oasis in contrast to all the brown countryside (why I moved here).
Lots of stumps if you get off the main body of water, so be careful back in coves.
