    Speakers cutting in and out

I expect this will likely be an easy question for this group. I've got a 2012 RZR. Ever since we first got it, we've had an issue with some of the speakers going out every now and then. I could be a tower speaker or one of the front speakers. It could last 10 seconds or a few minutes or longer. There does not seem to be any pattern. One speaker will just randomly quit working. Then later it will come back to life.

We asked the dealer to check it out, but of course when they checked all the speakers were working fine.

It is a wet sounds system. I've not tried looking at the wiring myself because I wouldn't know what I'm looking for.

Ideas of how I might try to fix it? Thanks!

    Easy question, hard answer!

If the speakers where dropping out in zones, groups or pairs, it would be easy to point you in the right direction. Heres why. Each bow speaker is on its own amp chnls, but each cnhl is feed with its own left or right signal. The port side in-boats are wired together on an chnl and same with the 2 stbd side in-boats. These are also fed with their own rcs signal.

If all the speakers on an amp stop playing, we know its that amp, its power source, turn-on circuit or source signal. But with individual speakers dropping out with no pattern, is going to be a tough one, unless one can get it to act up long enough to test. My best guess at this point is going to be upstream of the amps in the signal line.

Thanks, Mike. Makes sense. I should have known there's no easy answers! I'll do some more detective work.
