private lakes in colorado near colorado springs

well....just moved from louisiana to colorado. needless to say, i have been spoiled by endless butter whenever i want. The public lakes in Colorado are downright scary and if this is all i can get the I will sell the boat. That being said, i have heard there are a lot of private lakes around the area. i have not been able to find many online. Anybody have any info? please PM me if you do....even if you know the membership is full. i would at least like to get on the list. prefer within 20-30 min of Colorado Springs.

Welcome to Colorado!!! Our public lakes are definitely a little crazy! Did you go out to Pueblo? You basically have to hit the public lakes at sunrise and you're good until about 930-1000am and then get out of there. I live up north and we go to Horsetooth, Carter and Boyd and they are ok during the week but the weekend is nuts.

Hit pueblo at sunup on Saturday. It was decent until about 0800. The good news is that we are fully set up with drysuits so should be able to enjoy October when all the fair weather tubers leave. That said, it would be great to get into a private lake near c springs.
