    Size matters

I looking at buying my first Tige this weekend a 199 22 foot. I want to be able to store it in my garage and was wondering is the boat 22 feet long without teak swim platform or 22 feet including swim platform? Thanks in advance to any replies.

With out the platform, then you have to add for the trailer, taps plate. etc. My 20 footer just fits in a 22 foot garage straight, without platform. You would probably need a solid 23.5-24 feet to get a 22 footer in. Your going to have 22 feet+the taps plate+a little trailer in the front even with a swing away. If it doesn't have a swing tongue you are going to have alot of trailer in the front.

My boat takes roughly 25-26 with platform and solid trailer tongue for a 21.5ft boat

It also depends on the trailer. My swing tongue folds behind the bow. I'm at 23'6" with the 18" platform on. There's not much point to taking the platform off once you put an FAE on. You might gain 3-4" without the platform. Without the FAE well, who cares.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

To answer your question the 22i is 22' without the swim platform (its usually the measurement from nose to stern). Tiges also have a TAPS plate which adds some length even when the platform is off.

As mentioned above, usually the trailer is longer than the boat (even with a swing away tongue).
