2008 Tige' Z1 with Explosion tower

I'm putting on some tower speakers and was wondering which cross bar does Tige' recommend to place the tower speakers? The curved cross bar or the top bar where the tow hook and light are at ? Input will be appreciated. Thanks

Doesnt matter what Tige did in 08. That Explosion tower is not an OEM Tige tower, so you can put them where you want/can. Personally, I prefer to have them as high and as far back as possible. How the tower is assembled and welded will dictate how the wired is fished and in turn, where the pods get mounted.

The e series tower is OEM . I have seen some tower speakers mounted on the top and some on the curved cross member in the owners manual. I guess either will be fine.

Correct, the "E" series is OEM and was made in house by Tige, not Explosion. Which tower do you have? And just to clarify, High as possible but hanging down, not over top.

If they are put on the top cross bar where the tow hook and light is, my bimini top will be in the way I think

Chpthril there are speakers on the boat now but I didn't think they were supposed to be in this location

These are coming off and 4 Exile XM 9's are going in, they are Big and I didn't know if the would intrude with going up to the bow.

If it is a stock Bimini it should have cut outs in it so you can put speakers on the tall bar.

Iwndr, I just bought this boat and I think it all is stock but I don't know. I will check and thanks for the info sir.

With an 08 with E tower and factory bimini, as pictured above, the OEM location for tower speakers would have been the forward hoop as those pods are located now. The ideal location is the rear hoop, but I think you will need to modify the bimini in order to accommodate the 4 new pods.
