    Gel coat blister popped

I searched threads, but didn't really see anything that mentioned gel coat blisters popping. Here's my problem: when I bought my boat from the dealer they had it on a lift so obviously I couldn't see what was under the bunks. Plus it was at the end of the season, so when I bought it they winterized it and it was put in storage.
Fast forward to the next summer. While in the water I happened to feel the hull where the boat sits on the bunks and felt probably 6 or so blisters. I got on here, talked to Tige and got the impression that it was purely cosmetic. So, I didn't worry about it since it can't be seen anyway.

Yesterday I was checking my new FAE (an amazing product and well worth the money) and happened to feel the blisters; 3 have popped. One is very small, but of the other 2, one is dime size and the other may be slightly less than nickle size. How big of a problem is this?

The boat doesn't stay in the water more than 2 days at a time and then I put it in fully enclosed storage with all compartments open to dry.

    Opinions?

Get them fixed immediately. They are not a warranty item from Tige but if left alone they can damage the fiberglass of the hull big time. Spend some time with Google and Gel Coat Blisters, you'll find alot of info. It's not too hard for a fiberglass guy to repair the gelcoat but if you leave them alone they will spread and cover the bottom of the boat and that will be a very costly fix.

I would like to get pictures, but they sit right under the bunks. I'll call my mechanic and see who he recommends to fix them locally. I'll be curious to see how he plans to get to them.

If you have any type of marine yard that works on sailboats they can probably get your boat on a lift with different bunks than your trailer to work on them. Call around and get some second opinions too, it shouldn't be too big of a job right now but if you let it go it will definitely get worse.

After you get them fixed consider snaptraxx.com. Some people on here have bagged the product saying they have never seen blisters on a hull so it's a waste of time. The fact is gel coat is porous and can develop osmosis if left on wet carpet for extended periods. I have seen hull blisters after 8 months, not the manufacturers fault, it's just the nature of the beast. I have and will put them on every wakeboAt I buy. Well worth the investment and the boat loads heaps better too.

Wow, that would be at least $500-1000

EMGE, can you describe how the grip/slip features work during launch? Did you get a custom color?
