The tube towers move around and flex a lot. The cast towers like the Alpha Z are rock solid, even with lots of heavy accessories hanging off of it. Just a thought

The tower pictured is similar to the R20 tower but not the same. But that being said that is a factory tower and an option on the wider boats. I think it is considerably cheaper than the alpha Z. The R20 tube tower(vector) has tubes at the top also and that one has a solid top more like the alpha Z. I can tell you from demoing a R20 and RZR there is no comparison between the 2 towers. The tube tower flex's and is noisy, IMO. The alpha Z never makes a noise. No way would I buy a RZ/Z series boat without the Alpha Z. IMO it would hurt resale to any educated buyer. Someone who doesn't know the Tige brand wouldn't know the difference.

It is usually only MC owners that think it isn't any good if it didn't come from the factory.Be excellent to one another.

- Ballast Sensors, Hose Sensors, IMU's, Tige SpeedSet panels and more shipping every day!
Leave off things that are easier to add yourself later: Ballast (thousands), ALL of the sound system (MANY thousands), etc. would be first on my list. Things like heaters and showers and all that are straightforward to add later too.
Skip all the bling like upgraded trailer wheels. Adds precisely zero to the performance of the boat in the water while draining your wallet.
Another GREAT option: Look for a leftover boat from a prior year. You can save an absolutely enormous amount of money, still get a brand new boat with a full factory warranty, and unless you simply must have the latest year digits on your hull number there's really no disadvantage. That's what I did, BTW, and it turned out great. Since it sounds like you're trying to work through your existing dealer, have THEM do the research with other dealers and handle the transfer to their site. The dealers can contact each other and find out what they have on the lot that is left over from 2013 or 2012.

Here is the brochure picture of the R20. This tower seems to be solid at the top. Looks the same as that RZ2 I posted before. Perhaps they upgraded that tower to solidify it?? I think it is called the EVO tower. Either way, I don't mind it, so long as it is stiff enough.Attached FilesLast edited by JohnnieMo; 09-26-2013, 10:14 PM.
