After a couple long years, I am finally getting back into the market to buy a Tige. In 2011 we ordered a new RZ2 through Hyperactive in Calgary, but had to let it go due to some pretty challenging circumstances on the home front. I have to acknowledge Hyperactive and TigeCanuck for being a class act through the whole ordeal.
I've saved my rupees and am slowly getting myself ready to buy my Tige.... finally!
I was initially looking at a used boat, but I do intend to buy through the dealer, so my options could be limited, depending on what's available. I have about $75k CDN to spend and I refuse to borrow money for a boat, which leaves me a bit shy of a new boat. However I was curious if I could do a budget build of a new RZ2 or Z3 and still be in the ball park? I'm the kind of guy who really likes to tinker with his toys, so whether it means adding the ballast later, or the stereo or upgrading the VX or the trailer wheels - I figured maybe a budget build would be a good idea? Just wondering if you guys could provide advice as to which features are MUST HAVES up front and aren't possible to add later. (To be honest, I could even live without the Alpha Z but I know that would kill re-sale)
Oh - and my sole concern is surfing! I do the other stuff too, but any boat would be good enough for my level of skill in those activities.
I've been keeping an eye on the site for a long time, and its nice to know I'm getting back into the game Timeframe for the purchase is anytime before next spring.
