    2007 20i with 900 hrs?

    Hi

I'm new to the forum. Sold my 1996 MasterCraft 205 a few years ago and now we are looking at getting another boat.

My wife would like something larger than the 205 but I want to keep the wake small for slalom skiing. Looked at some 22i's on line an really like the look of the seat layout.

However, I just found a 2007 20i for sale near me that seems interesting. The boat has high hrs (about 925) and has the 340 hp Marine Power in it.

Interior is mint, no tower, or perfect pass or trailer, and they are asking $18,500.

Claims the oil has been changed several times per season, but I'm not sure if the 900 is just too high and I will start having issues soon?

Any idea what speed control the 2007 came with and if I can add it after market?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Suggest you request service records , there is still alot of life left in the engine, but might be due for some expense in fuel pumps , tune up , water pump, etc.
How long did this person own the boat?

      Hey

It was a ski camp that had the boat since new. The marina that is selling it did all the maintenance and they are also providing 1 year warranty on the motor included in the $18.5

900hrs isnt high for an inboard in my opinion, kinda high for a 07. But if it was a camp boat then it was prob used almost every day during the summer. Main thing is they took care of it. Like Dom said take it for a ride and make sure everything checks out. Like any boat from 100-2000 hrs things can go bad and need replacing, something just to get use to owning a boat. Even ones that sit and never get used can have problems. If the marina did all the maintenance they should have records they can show you.

I'm going to take it for a spin early next week to see how it feels etc.

              Hey guys

Well I pulled the trigger on the 07 20i. Took it for a spin and everything seemed real solid. The Marina is also providing warranty until the end of 2014 on the motor so I should be good.

My last boat was a 1996 MasterCraft PS 205 so it will be interesting to see how this wake compares etc.

Now I need ti buy Speed set. I assume the rocker switch on the dash for cruise control is useless without the speed set control?
