    Fulton F2

anyone had any issues with your jack being kinda hard to work or use? took the top off has plenty of grease.. but seems like the issue might be the shaft is not sliding very smooth with water getting in there and trapped from launching\pickup? want to take that bottom seal off... but knowing my luck.. it will all come apart.... anyone taken it apart to re grease?

I have had a Fulton F2 on the trailer for many seasons and have no issues with the action. But the boat is always stored under cover and out of the sun.

I do note that I use an adapter for the trailer that puts the Fulton F2 jack farther out. As a result, when the trailer is cranked really high, there appears to be quite a bit of lateral forces acting on the slide portion. Over time, I assume this will result in wear.

my boat is garaged year round.. so sun probably not an issue... think after heading over to the fulton fourms.... not out of the norm to get corotion in there... but looks like a potential good fix is this...... to prolong the life.

"drill and tap the tube for a grease fitting and pump the whole thing full of grease. Over size the jack for weight and it should last a very long time. One of my jacks is 15+ years old and it jacks like a new one"

In my experience, if it starts getting tight like that, it is going to snap and your jack is going to be done.

I haven't had any issues with the jack itself, but the wheel design SUCKS! I'm on my third broken wheel. I took the wheel assembly off for now & have the post on a wood block. I'm trying to figure out a way to just put a footplate on it, but I don't think it would be long enough without some sort of adapter & extension.

When my single wheel jack broke, I was sure I was going to "upgrade" to the F2 until my buddy told me about the issues with the wheels. I don't regret just going with the single wheel old version.

Just from the top or should you spray up from bottom of slider too?

I extend mine out and spray the shaft and up into the cylinder then run it up... I also spray into the rotating cup for the swivel

I have the F2 on my smaller 21' Moomba and it has always been kind of hard to crank. I have the single wheel version on my RZ4 which is MUCH heavier and it seems to crank a little easier

But the wheels on the F2 are horrible and don't seem to be made for rolling! They seem to be made out of old Barbie Doll plastic

But after reading the other posts, I'm gonna try the WD-40 and will see if there is any difference.
