I'd love to see some of that stuff. That's what being a human is all about. Engineering. It gives the sub-humans (salesman) something to do.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Sorry wicked, I wasn't ignoring you, I missed this...

I did spend a lot of time with the RZ2, I will tell you why I didn't go farther than I did. I loved the RZ2 wake, so did RJ but the issue was that it wasn't as adjustable as we would have wanted. The 24Ve had a mellower wake that many of our friends liked more, especially kids, skimmers, etc. For instance, I couldn't take my little guys behind the RZ2 very well unless we took weight out, which wasn't that big of a deal. When Tige asked for our feedback and help with the Z3, that was our main point. Something that could give you the push of the RZ2, can be as steep and fun as the RZ2 yet mellow out to the 24Ve wake. Hence the Z3.

That said, regarding the RZ2, we just surfed an RZ2 with a VX, and it was, well, holy crap, wow. It was like a marriage of the Z3 and 24Ve. A little hard to dial in goofy, but we got it, and we only had like 1 hour per boat, so with time it would be better. And we only had 300 lbs extra in the boat on top of Pro Stock, and then me and Tony and some kids.

But the RZ2 with the VX was amazing, I would love to sack that out, it was adjustable, mellow or steep, long, excellent transition, etc. Video coming shortly...

Ya that makes sense and is good reason.. But From what I found the swim deck just killed any chance of a great wave. Unless you weight it to keep the deck from causing issues but then your being counter productive on making the wave the best it can be! If you get the chance get a swim deck on one that dont suck and then play with it

We buried it, and it didn't effect much, and with the VX, the VX pretty much keeps the deck off the water.

Very nice that's a plus then.. One of those angles it looked like it was. Could just be the perspective tho

It was a bit on goofy, but I think it had the wrong deck, not sure. We are working on something to completely resolve that. As you know, we work hard to see goofy rock. I am the only regular rider left in my family.

On the recent Wake9 video, the 2014 RZ2 swim platform is still cutting through the water (see 2:46-2:50). But it does not look like it impacts the wave face much. There might be a cleaner spine in the very front of wave without the cut.

Thanks Duncan that is excatly what I seen. From what I found it makes a big impact on riding I can feel it when it cuts into it before I cut my deck up =)

So, where does Tige's stock platform fit in with competition (maybe in the middle?). Of course, the VX probably minimizes impact of cutting in (but why not remove the cut entirely?).

Check out 1:44 in the new MC X46 video (platform cuts DEEP into wave)

In contrast, look at the Nautique 210 stills (completely out of water -- who knows if this is underweighted to make such a clean shot)

That mastercraft video makes me want to go straight to the dealership and drop $150k for the X46. NOT!!! Great video though and awesome surf wave. I wonder what the starboard side wave looks like. I'm sure it's bada$$ too.
