Where might one look to find the fuse to the stereo components on a 2012 Z3? Somehow, I've lost power to my amps and head unit.

At the battery. Each amp will have its own inline fuse holder. They should be located with in a few inches of the battery based on past experience. Depending on what Tige did with your boat, they may have had the batteries disconnected, which is the proper thing to do in a lot of cases, and missed the amp B+ or B- cables when connecting the batteries back up. I would suggest getting a volt meter and check the B+ and B- cables right at the amps and then work backwards to the battery.Last edited by chpthril; 06-30-2013, 04:53 PM.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

For some reason I remember a main circuit breaker being installed for the stereo somewhere near the batteries.
I'd also check the Medallion piece and switch panel under the dash. You could just have a blown fuse for the head unit or a breaker to reset. The head unit triggers the amps to turn on.

My Tige was having the same issues. The yellow main power line coming into the back of the head unit kept pulling out slightly out of the connector. Every time I went over a wave it would bump and come loose. I didn't know what it was for the longest time. Every time it would happen I would just unplug the head unit, and the relay then plug them back in and it started working. This weekend on the lake I hit a decent wave and I couldn't get it to come back on. After looking for an hour, I noticed the yellow power wire had come slightly loose out of the pin of the connector to the back of the head unit. Check that out! Mine had been doing it since day one when I bought it brand new. When I took it in they couldn't figure it out. I have the same OEM Clarion deck on my boat.

Found where I'm losing power. There's an 80 amp circuit breaker behind the batteries that will not reset. When you push the red button, an arm swings out to reset it. Problem is, mine won't reset. I've got power coming in, but nothing coming out, no matter how many different ways I tried. Anybody have experience with these?

Yes, I use them all the time. Sounds like its doing its job as it seems like theres a short. Instead of blowing like a fuse, it trips open. Once the short is corrected, the breaker can be reset.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
