Thanks for everyone for feedback! Boat does have perfect pass. Not sure if we want to sell yet, but at lease we have some numbers. I think in our market it would be in the high 20s to 30.

(on a side note: I'm glad a could get a discussion going on boat colors!)

      'zactly!

IMHO july = best time to sell (if your local waterways have water). It's the hottest time and it feels like summer is never going to end. Shoot, I'd overpay a bit in July just not to be boatless.

The boat in question has no ballast, weaksauce stereo, and probably no speed control because it's not mentioned. It also has more hours.

I guess it depends why you are buying the boat. If all you want to do is surf, perhaps (after a ballast upgrade) this would be a better boat than the 'bu. But there's no way on earth that the OP's boat puts out a better, more scalable wakeboard wake than the last gen vlx hull. Want to tow newbs empty at 18 with a clean wake? No prob. Want to slam it to the gills for a giant wake? No prob. Prove me wrong, but AFAIK the OP's boat won't do that.
There's some strong opinions in this thread.

          The OP's? What's an OP?

I will concede that the Bu will have a superior wakeboard wake. No contest. Yes they did have nicer vinyl and, IMO a better helm but, that's where the love fair ends for me. I've never been impressed with Malibu build quality. They may look pretty but, I have no faith in the structures. Will it be fine 99.9% of the time? Probably. Is it overbuilt? No. Big water is a reality for every boater and I would rather be in a Tige any day when the chit hits the fan. That's why I bought a Tige in the first place.

To me, techtige's is pretty damn close to what I would be looking for. A nice clean stocker with the upgraded interior and no ballast. Perfect amount of hours and great colors. I think its worth 30k all day long. That might just be me looking at potential for that boat though. After surfing topaz's boat, the 22v has become MUCH more appealing to me.

We still need to hook up Shawn. I'll shoot you a PM.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I have had 2 full price offers on my 2003 22V riders edition. Took a $500 less offer so that a local guy could buy it and I can still ride on it once and awhile. But I believe I have a lot more extras than you. Nice looking boat BTW.

Wickedcummins old boat. That one has been gone through and is basically done. 32.5k is a smoking deal IMO.

I still think there is an emerging market for unmolested surf boats. IMO, not having to tear out some funky 10yo ballast system is worth something. Not having some giant stereo system strewn throughout the boat is worth something. Very similar to the classic car market but for different reasons. An all original, well maintained craft should be worth more than a heavily modified, heavily used craft. NADA just doesn't account for these things. Just because a boat has a ballast system doesn't mean its a good system.

I sold my 2004 22V in about the same condition (blue and white) with the same features for 28K earlier this year. That seemed to be about market for that boat in Austin, Texas. Perhaps I could have gotten more if I waited closer to summer. I have a few months of enjoying my Z3 so I am not worrying about it. And I think your color is sweet. Different strokes, different folks.

Wise words..... Tore out factory ballast system on mine. The only thing I kept was wiring and switches. I also needed Chrpthril's expertise on how to deal with some of the removal.
