Comptech Safety Trick Release Goup Buy

As I was pulling a tube this weekend (yes from the tower), I could not help but think about there being no safety release on the line. I like the Samson Bullets but there is a lot of "black box" re the loads they encounter and release on. Like others in this thread, I like that the CompTech shows encountered load. This also addresses the "tube from the tower" issue.

So count me in for the Group Buy (plus one extra swivel).

Thanks for putting this together, TA (and for raising awareness of the safety issue).

I have the tower camera on the Alpha Z tower, and based on the pics, it doesn't look like this release will be able to attach to that mount (due primarily to the rope guide on the tower camera mount). If someone disagrees, please let me know. I suppose there may be a way to take apart the mount and remove the rope guide, but I don't have access to the boat right now, so I don't know if that's possible.

I received a picture of a simple and inexpensive way to make rope changes without removing the clevis. Picture is provided by Brad at East Coat Foilers. It is of his own making.
I don't trust my own knots so I will probably use a rope extension, with float, from Masterline and add the carabiner.

Okay, I got my release in today but is there a trick to installing this on the tower? I was really hoping to use it there, but I don't see any way to install it as the clamping pieces are too large. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Stuck with a release that's no good as I don't care to have the very long bolts sticking out if installed on the pylon.
