Just wanted to share my video from our recent Powell trip. It is also the first video I have edited so no judging

Awesome! Great video in my opinion.

I can't wait for our trip this year but we can't make it until early August. Hopefully we will get back again in September sometime. Were you in Padre bay? Sure looks familiar but much of the lake looks very similar. Thanks for making my work week seem a little longer already. Here is my screen-saver pic from the Escalante arm of the lake last Labor Day.

Yeah some of the shots were from Padre Bay where we camped one night. We went from Wahweap up to Escalante over the 5 days so we captured footage along the way. We are also going to try for September again if we can make it work. 1 time a year is just not enough!

Good time for sure. I have never gone to the Escalante arm, and said I would do it this year, but had to make the trip shorter than I would like and also had to go back after 1 day to pick up a daughter that had to work. Maybe next time.

the video was great... but for the first time I just realized how someone can hit a houseboat. ... before this vid I could never get my head around it given what happened down there last week... go figure. anyhow awesome vid!

Be there in two weeks. This was a great distraction to my day..... now i won't get any work done as I just sit here and dream about Lake Powell.

Also what software did you use to edit the clips... I haven't had great success yet.

the video was great... but for the first time I just realized how someone can hit a houseboat. ... before this vid I could never get my head around it given what happened down there last week... go figure. anyhow awesome vid!

Oh we would never get that close to another boat normally, especially a houseboat. This was just so we could get a good video of the boat cruising and there were no other boats around.

The best part of making the video was remembering the trip and getting excited for the next one! I used Adobe Premier Pro. It took about half the day to get used to the program but once I learned the shortcuts it was a lot easier than any others I have used.

I think you hit a houseboat by not watching where you are going...for a really long time. He was clearly watching out.
