So after being on the waiting list for over two years I am finally getting a slip in my neighborhoods marina. The marina is all covered docks with standard overhead cable lifts. Interestingly enough the marina/HOA owns and rents out the slips but the slip holder actually owns the lift itself so I have to decide if I want to purchase the lift from the previous tenant or make him take it out and put in a new one.
That brings me to my question. What should I be looking for in a lift that will work for my 22V? It has straight a straight I beam cradle that is setup for a pontoon so I know I will have to get the brackets and runners to convert it for a V bottom but is there anything else I should look out for? Certain cable thickness? Specific pulleys? Motor HP?
I would prefer to make an offer to keep the old one as it should be a lot cheaper/easier but I also want to make sure it will work for my boat.
