    Swivel Board Racks

Just A quick question for anyone who has a set of swivel racks.

It seems to me that they would rattle alot, The ones on the showroom floor at our local dealer seem to have a lot of play in them, and I was wondering if that play in the swivels equated to noise on the lake.

    Thanks for all the help!

We mount a small strip of foam on the back side of the rack to make it tighten up.

Yes that is what I was thinking about, I don't know if you have ever used those little rubber feet that come with some electronics.

Just Cant Figue out How to Keep them adheared to the Stainless.

      Thanks,
      Danny

Wipe it with a little prep pad or glass cleaner to remove any grease or wax and it should stick ok. Most of the time it should be in the out position and pressing the foam against the support.

          Thanks for all the help,

I purchased a set of these today from Nelems Marine, (Hands Down Best Dealer in this Market)

And we are going to tap them to the flat uprights on our 22v.

Any other advice about the install?

          Thanks,
          Danny

if the racks you bought are Tige racks, they will not work on the standard cressent billet, you have to get the billet made for the racks.

              Why?

I was just going to drill the upright and bolt the racks to the Current upright.

I don't know how to post a picture but our uprights are the same as the white boat featured when you log onto www.tige.com

I am fairly sure they will fit the billet. I have held them against but have not mounted then yet. Hope to do so by the end of the week.

The board back, the part the board fingers will hit the ark in the billet.

If you look at the far side you will see a ear coming out of the ark. Those are made for the racks

We had two boats come in this week with that upright and they had ears off the trailing edge to mount the swivel racks. I thought you might have had the "Tige" uprights and that is what we are installing swivels on.
