Dreddy, same prop you currently have. I have only had my boat out a couple times. I have the 1100 sac and then a 650 lb underseat sac (w705) on each side (completely fills under seat) but had less people in boat. Maintained speed a little better than you but I had taps down at 1-2. I just put on the same prop (5 blade) Duffy runs 2133 that I bought from moosex on here. He had trouble at elevation (Tahoe) with the 2133. 2133 is 14" and barely clears my trailer. You can modify trailer with thicker bunks for more clearance. My clearance to the hull with a 14.5" prop would be really close so you may want to check your clearance and your comfort level with that. Duffy has a thread that he tested several props with (all were 14" or less because I don't think he could fit the 1235).

    Found Duffy's thread.

Thanks for the prop specs and advice.

The sites I found the 1273 and 1275 specs. on didn't list the cup as being the difference. I understand at a basic level the effect of the diameter and pitch for props, but don't really have any intuition for the effect of cup. More cup seems like it would have the widen the cross-section of the blade as it slices through the water. More drag? More thrust? Time to do some research.

I also found last night that I can't get my prop off. I'm borrowing a puller from a co-worker tonight, but wow is that thing on there. It would be dangerous to have it out on the lake at this point thinking that our spare prop is anything but ballast. The prop has probably never been removed from this boat in the 9 years of its life. I also found that the shaft bushings on the strut seem to be extremely tight and were making a lot of noise when turning prop during this process. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal but am going to see what I get when everything is wet. Also found that the TAPs position indicator isn't working now. One thing after another so far with this boat.

Thanks again everyone and I'm definitely going to check the clearances from the hull and trailer before we buy a new prop. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Before you even start in with that puller, read post #8 of the above thread.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

X2 on post #8 that threaded saved me! Just keep rotating that puller until it comes off! That post should be a sticky!

4th install of the puller and it popped right off! Just light torque on the bolt and light tapping on the puller. Thanks for pointing me to the correct method of using this thing. Now at least changing to a different prop is an option.
