Boat Engines - Dangers and Precautions Necessary with E10 Ethanol-Blend Gasoline

I ran across this on the Moomba forum. The article, by Blue Dot Marine, could be reduced by quite a bit. It repeats the same information multiple times. I'm not sure where you get an ethanol testing kit?

According to federal law, gasoline dispensing stations dispensing fuel to the public for a fee are required to have the pumps show the content of ethanol in the gasoline being dispensed, in percentages. They're tough to find but they're there.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

I just use marine stabil in every tank no matter what type of fuel I'm putting in the boat.

Or just use your boat often. Keep in mind that ethanol is short supply right now cause of high corn prices. Chances are there is minimal amounts in your tank. Ethanol is not as bad as people make it seem. Don't have time to go into detail. It's kinda like the Di hydrogen monoxide ban that was trying to be put in place. That stuff looks pretty scary on paper and can be but you can't live with out it.

Same here. The dispenser on the 32 ounce container is amazingly convenient.

I use Marine Sta-Bil in every tank as well. The stickers on the pumps I see, say they may contain UP TO 10%. The article sems to indicate that they exceed that regardless of what the pump says?

Do you guys buy Stabil by the case then?

Where is the best price? I suspect online buying and shipping of flammables is sort of expensive.
              Be excellent to one another.

I just buy mine at Oreilly Auto Parts. It's $29 for a 32 oz. bottle, which treats 320 gallons.
