set up for wake boarding and skiing

I have a 98 pre 2200v wt, this is new to me boat and I do not have any sacs or anything in it. I have run into the boat bouncing as I try to plain the boat. I have not spent much time trying to figure it out and I think the taps isn't working either. Just wondering if anybody has ideas that I can try on Saturday to try to get a good ride in.

Probably the first thing is to figure out if the TAPS is working or not.

x2... I would think this is your bouncing issue.... plate not down at higher speeds

I think 7 is up, at least it is on our 2001 21V.

Can it be checked before putting the boat in the water? That is, can you get it to move up and down while on the trailer?

I will have to check it out in the water, I have it docked for the summer. But if I have to take it out to work on it I will. Just hoping to be able to use it without having to work on it all summer. Would wait in the front help/fix the problem?

My R20 will bounce at higher speeds unless I move the taps to 1 or 2. I'm not sure if that is up or down as I've only been on it a couple hours, but I would assume its down

On mine (2000 22i) 7 is up and 1 is down. I went through the whole system last year - it nice when its finally working.

what did you do to go through the system? Did you find a manual or something so that you knew what you were looking for? Or did you just go through it until everything is working well? I have tried moving it (without being in the water to see if it is moving) I hear something working but the gauge does not move. I guess I will just have to play with it. Do you use any weight in the bow?
