2014 Centurion Enzo CATS and Ramfill Ballast

Have not seen this discussed on here yet. What are your thoughts? I personally think Centurion may have nailed it on this one!

It's always easy to make it look good on video. It'll be really interesting to hear real world feedback.

But, both the quick-fill ballast and the articulating fin look like they could be great innovations. From what I understand, versions of the ballast system (i.e., "Pure Vert") have been around for a while. Anyone ever used one? Why haven't they taken over?

I'm wondering why the "wing plate" (aka Taps plate) is asymmetrical.

Love to see companies pushing the envelope on this stuff. It feels like we're in the infancy (maybe early adolescence) of the wake-making technology.

If you look at the features and options list, it looks like, in addition to the "Quick Fill" ballast system, you can also add "Centurion Pro Ballast Package (Dual Mid Side Bags)", "Centurion Plug-N-Play Rear Surf Ballast (With 2 Bags in boat)", and "Enzo Bow Ballast Bag System".

Makes me wonder how many pounds the quick fill adds (where does the water go?) and whether you still need weight from pumped bags to make a good wave.

Interesting. Love seeing everyone pushing for newer tech. But like all new tech need some real world testing vs pro testing.

The CATS fin looks really amazing, especially for tweaking a wakeboard wake (edit -- I did not see any change of surf wave with CATS; you would think they would make the effect more apparent on the vid).

The Ramfill sounds good but with it just filling internal hard tanks, and presumably still need big sacks in lockers, the feature is probably more important to wakeboarders.

So, while both features seem cool, I do not think they do much of anything for surf config.

I was wondering the same thing about the plate, we used to do the warranty work on their boats for a few years and most of the complaints were a bad list while underway, they would have us sand the one side of the hull to try and correct the problem im wondering if thats why they did the plate that way.

When I was researching older surf boats to purchase I ran across some that had modded the plate (a fin or rudder type thing on the side of the plate that directed prop wash away from starboard side) on the Enzo to clean up the goofy wave. I wonder if the asymetrical plate does something similar and makes the Enzo as clean as it is on the port side.
Mods: MLA BIG Ballast System (1800+ Custom sacs, 2 500 W705 sacs under bow), Duffy Surf Flap Mod, Trimmed Swim Deck, Top-Mount Starter

I didn't see it that way at all..............but maybe I'm wrong? Looked like to me that they put an ear on it to protect the single exhaust tip but I could be wrong. Either way it's fugly! But I do like the quick fill and CATS fin
Controls are gaudy and should be part of the electronics but thats just my 02.

I have no idea what this poster is trying to achieve other than being annoying.

But since the thread got resurrected...I was able to sit in a boat with Ramfill. It works awesome, and the ballast tanks are gigantic, so there is more than enough ballast all flushed into the boat very very quickly. The gigantic hard tanks fill up the rear lockers up to within about 12 inches of the hatch, and then extend forward just like many custom ballast bags. So the space under your seats on the sides has about 2 inches of storage. There is virtually no storage in a ramfill equipped boat. You can order the bags separate, but you can't have them together since there really is no where to put any other bags.
                      Be excellent to one another.
