So after seeing Dingle's thread on how Tige hooked Dingle up, my interest for a PTM Edge mirror really has grown, I have a few questions though for those that have the mirror.
The first thing I look at with a mirror and bracket is how easily it folds down for storage or towing. The reason I purchased by mirror was because the bracket was almost flush with the window rail and did not create any additional wear points on my cover. And I don't want to have to setup the bracket every time I go on the water, and definitely not take it off when I get off the water. So my first question is can someone shoot me a picture of their mirror bracket (mounted on the windshield) folded down in the storage/tow position? Has anyone had any issues with their cover wearing prematurely on this bracket? Unfortunately my mirror is not a CIPA, so I cannot reuse the CIPA bracket and just purchase the mirror.
Second, as you all know I am cheap SOB, I'd rather have $100 in gas and have a great two days on the river over spending it on something that isn't needed. But recently I've found myself skiing on the course more and my mirror works just fine, but seems to be lacking in...quality, clarity, and a wide view point (you can't see the skiers rounding buoys). If I upgrade, is the 140 worth the extra $100? I know the PTM Edge 100 will still be much better than my current mirror.
