PTM Edge Mirror & Bracket Questions

So after seeing Dingle's thread on how Tige hooked Dingle up, my interest for a PTM Edge mirror really has grown, I have a few questions though for those that have the mirror.

The first thing I look at with a mirror and bracket is how easily it folds down for storage or towing. The reason I purchased by mirror was because the bracket was almost flush with the window rail and did not create any additional wear points on my cover. And I don't want to have to setup the bracket every time I go on the water, and definitely not take it off when I get off the water. So my first question is can someone shoot me a picture of their mirror bracket (mounted on the windshield) folded down in the storage/tow position? Has anyone had any issues with their cover wearing prematurely on this bracket? Unfortunately my mirror is not a CIPA, so I cannot reuse the CIPA bracket and just purchase the mirror.

Second, as you all know I am cheap SOB, I'd rather have $100 in gas and have a great two days on the river over spending it on something that isn't needed. But recently I've found myself skiing on the course more and my mirror works just fine, but seems to be lacking in...quality, clarity, and a wide view point (you can't see the skiers rounding buoys). If I upgrade, is the 140 worth the extra $100? I know the PTM Edge 100 will still be much better than my current mirror.

Joe - here is a pic of it folded down. Note - I did remove one of the rubber shims after this pic to make it fit more flush against the frame. I don't know if it will lead to any additional wear on the boat cover - but my previous mirror mount was also above the windshield, and it doesn't seem to have caused any issues.

Thank you Dingle, that projection doesn't look too bad.

I may just purchase their package kit.

@ Duncan, lots of people from the BallofSpray forum have purchased them directly thru PTM edge

Nice 140 degree mirror. I use my mirror often when surfing and wake boarding.
PCC-140 Pro Combo (carbon fiber windshield mount) more affordable. Still pricy.

We got one direct from PTM, 140 with carbon fiber bracket and absolutely love it. No oissues yeat with the cover but we are so close to the lake the only time the cover is on is when its in the driveway. Worth evey dollar IMO.

I purchased the PTM 100 Combo before our trip to Lake Shasta. After spending 7 straight days on the water skiing, I am very very happy with the purchase. It is a huge upgrade from my other mirror.

I haven't ran thru the course with it yet, but supposedly I should be able to see the buoys up until 28' off. I'm sure the 140 you can see more, but I didn't want to restrict any additional vision out the front.
