    Re-connecting wires to heater: advice

Due to bad winterization by marina my heater core burst. The marina made good by replacing the core but I had to reinstall Have remounted and re plumbed, now have to reattach wires

To get heater out I had to cut the wires as it was wire-tied all the way into the switch next to the throttle. Now have heater back in place, need to reattach wires. I don't want to just splice because I may have to remove in future. So at hardware store I found different styles of crimp on connectors. Here are my choices:

    1. Simple Wire nuts to twist on wires
    2. Male flat slot to female plug?
    3. Male/female ball & socket plug style ?

While its an interior area would you suggest taping over the connectors due to moisture ?

(Sunday night was first surfing & boarding for 2013. Rode my Inland Surfer Squirt instead of the Blue lake & really liked its responsiveness )

use deutsch connectors or delco weatherpack if you are going to remove the heater again.

X3 on the deutsch connectors. Caterpillar runs these as oem on every connection. Watertight and super easy to work with. After years in the open weather on Construction equipment they still come apart easy and connections are dry and clean. They are spendy and you need a special tool to crimp the wire into the pin properly. Well worth it.
