For me, I surf 2 ways:

#1 Out with the boys, build the biggest wave we can and practice new **** all day.. I love days like this and I have no problem with the boat listing and kissing the water... Like I said, 8 hours in our "office" during the week day when you have the water to yourself... Its perfect! we go year round like this..

#2 Weekends in the summer with the wife and kids and the "friends" If you can convince your wife & kids to sit in a corner or better yet drive the boat listing over for the full day, just to get "push" well then hats off to you!..

On #2 days, SG would be great, go for quick surf, switch sides for kids or guests, go boarding.. All with a flip of the switch, to me it makes these days much more productive and keeps the evil eye's to a min... Happy wife happy life... On day's like this Im not looking to go out and "kill it" Im looking to have fun and go for a surf while the family cheers you on.

Maybe im in the 1% club on the above (#2)?

I have not ridden SG or NSS, but I will if Tige doesn't have something in the works for 2014... i have talked to people who have rode the two systems and stalked the other user forums for details and user feedback.. It's very apparent that NSS and SG are working, yes there are issues, yes to "dial the wave in" for the dude sessions you need to add more weight but I am prepared to do that, no different then now with my Tige when I surf #1 style.

I just think it serves its purpose and is here to stay, it's introducing more people to wake surfing...it's now super easy set up for a guest or a child that has no intension of dropping the rope the 1st few times, let them enjoy the experience, instead of having to drain off and re set for new riders that are either goofy or reg.. ( assuming your setup for the other)

It's kinda funny... 7 years ago when I bought my 1st of 3 Tige's everyone on here including Tige Canuck (AKA Hyperactive Calgary Dealer) was preaching "taps" and the " we do not need extra ballast to make a quality wake".. Let the hull & Tap's do the work for you. Now everyone is saying the opposite with: "There is no replacement for displacement" extra Surf ballast. ..LOL and the Tige dealers themselves are now bashing the other makes for engineering a great offering... again kinda funny... last time I heard a dealer say "Band-aid" was the Mastercraft dealer talking about taps..LOL.. O how times change... in the boat world.

    My 2 cents.
    ^^ well spoken ^^
I think the tendency is for "all" boat manufacturers to tout their new technology as the best innovation ever and solves every problem. "If you don't have "X" then you need one!" It's bash the other guy until you can get something close to what they have on your boat
Fact is, they are all pushing the envelope and bringing great products to the marketplace. I say give credit where credit is due!

Wow a lot of whining going on.Just learn to surf both sides both ways.It gives your muscles a rest when you go from toe to heel side. Most of my surfing and wakeboarding is done with just me and the wife.No weighting issues on my RZ2.Without any ballast i easily do wake to wake 180's regular and switch, both toe and heel side at 75'.As for surfing the extra weight helps the length with no passengers but the wave is surfable with only the rear 600 lbs.I added the extra weight bags and the wave has push even 20' back.I've ridden behind a new G23 but it didn't have NSS yet. The wave had lots of push and was very surf friendly but 29 gallons in 2-1/2 hours is a bit much fuel consumption for me.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

We have had problems with the gates jaming on the fill hulls and couldnt get the boat on the trailer because it listed so bad end up brecking the trailer bunk, im hoping they have come out with a more robust gate control, the systems we delt with cost 400.00 per gate for replacement.

what system? pure vert valves used by MB, centurion and epic are replaceable and cost about $100 per side direct from the manufacturer.

also if its a purevert system why not just open the valve manually, drain as usual, and close manually?

It was a purevert system and didnt have a manual valve to close , but it was an early system and possibly didnt have that feature yet.

You can open and close the purevert valve itself manually on all drainmaster valves. It is really really easy. Bummer your bud couldn't figure it out.

ABILENE, TX—Tige Boats and Indmar Marine Engines are partnering to engineer, build, and produce an engine that brings the boldness of a Tige inward. The new engine ultimately sets the foundation for the future of the Tige product line by exploring the unknown and eliminating all traditional expectations from a marine engine.
“Over the years Indmar has proven themselves to be an industry powerhouse in inboard power plants,” stated Rick Correll, Tige President. “The ability for us to customize and design a unique power system that further enhances our patented Convex V hull resulted in an engine that stands for who Tige is and where the Tige product line is going. Forward thinking in an ever-changing industry makes the alliance between Tige and Indmar a natural fit.”
The Indmar engine built solely for Tige makes a declaration for the power behind change. Optimized horsepower, the perfect balance of torque, and further increased fuel efficiency all prove the athleticism found in the 2014 Tige lineup.
“We are leveraging two leading companies respective strengths to deliver a customized world-class boating experience,” explained Chuck Rowe, President of Indmar Marine Engines. “We have focused our combined energies to produce a suite of engines that offer consumers the quality craftsmanship and iconic performance associated with both brands.”
With a combined 15 awards for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction, Tige and Indmar will offer an engine lineup with one thing in mind: to simplify your life. Your peace of mind is reassured by a powertrain that delivers no compromises, untouched precision, and the right for you to want more out of your boat.”

I think it's cool that there are new ideas for making the "perfect" wave. With saying that I would hate to pay $100k+ for the newest design in the pursuit for the "perfect" wave and get out there to ride and the newest design fails because it is electronic and can't ride your $100k+ "perfect" wave. I personally like how Tige' started fresh with a new hull design and stuck to what they have had since they started. I know it sucks to switch water side to side but it works (K.I.S.S Keep It Simple Stupid). I just wonder how these other boats surf when the "perfect" wave design isn't working? I think Tige' is headed in the right direction and believe that they are competition for the big 3. Hope this inspires other Tige' owners to realize that it's the hull that makes the PERFECT wave not some electronic arm and plate thingy that had to be installed to make their wave "perfect". Just my .02

Oh and I heard that Tige' is upping their ballast pumps to flow more water talking like double or more then it is currently

I heard the new RZ2 will be a late year release, Like Dec or Jan. Waiting for that before any decision is made in my purchase.

If Tige believed in "Keep it simple" we would not have Tige touch...LOL We would still have gauges and switches for all controls.. In fact in this new market I think the pressure is on Tige to be a bit more fancy...

I want to add push button start to my wish list as well. It's really cool!
