    2014 Rumors?

I know they are right around the corner, has anyone heard and care to share about the new stuff for the upcoming year. I have heard rumors of two major things being changed which hopefully lead into my next point.

Personally I really hope Tige engineers their own version of NSS and Surfgate. I really think this is a game changer to the boat market. A year ago I would have never even looked at an another manufacturer other then Tige for my next boat purchase... Now there is that little "surf gate" chant in the back of my mind... I gotta ask if others feel the same way? Personally I think the VX is a great addition but it is by no means competitive to what Surf Gate or NSS can offer the boat owner/riders. I really think moving a ton of water from one locker to another is a thing of the past. Will Tige step up? or will they get lost in the wave?

I don't know what Tige is planning, but I personally have a product that will be released this summer that I've been working on for over a year. It's of interest both as a component on newly manufactured boats AND as a user-installed upgrade to existing boats. More soon!

Almost a 7 year run for the best pickle fork design in the industry, that was a home run for Tige. (I have owned 2 RZ2's) I Just hope the new one has a TSS (Tige Surf System)

@WA- What you got going on?

Don't want to say too much just yet. I do have some TO members that will be beta testing it on their boats, so you'll get some third-party feedback and opinions. Physical prototypes are under construction literally as I type this, so it's getting more real every day. This has been a huge investment of time, money, and effort and now that it's becoming "real" it's really exciting.

One teaser: It involves electronics and software. I posted a photo a while back showing some of the breadboarding I was doing. Here it is again:

            More soon... thanks!

If you need to beta test it on a RZR, I'm all for it.

You asked, so I gotta give my two cents: Adding a "Band-Aid" to an existing hull is not what I would consider "stepping up" and building a completely new hull as Tige did with the Z3, or what Tige does in fact have coming our next. The old hot-rodder's adage of "no replacement for displacement" applies here. The OP should get out and demo that surf gate as reports that I know of say that it may look good in photos, but lacks the push of a Tige wave. Another well named and marketed Malibu gimmick IMO. The NSS may be a better designed surf gate, but dragging something else through the water still seems counterproductive to a long clean solid wave. And, could we possibly find another way to need more gas-guzzling horsepower to push the boat at 10 -12 mph?

This summer would be a good time for everyone that has the chance to demo some of these well marketed gadgets and let all of us know what you find. It is great to see new innovations coming out but it still makes me sad to see another brand new towboat pass by with the rider still hanging onto the rope.....

I too agree the surfgate and nss dont improve the push , and those that surf with those boats still add weight to one side or the other, just go to their sites and ask them.

                            I'll chime in...

I am no longer a Tige' owner but my old 20 footer made a nice wave.

My new SAN 210 with NSS throws a great wave and I weight the boat somewhat unevenly. I put a bit more on the port side than the starboard side but with the NSS adjustability I do not need to transfer weight after the initial set up. The wave looks identical on both sides. I've had the same people out behind my new boat as the old boat and everyone is pretty stoked on the wave but more so the ability to change from one side to the other within 2 seconds time. I was one of those "it's just another gimmick" guys until I acutally experienced it first hand. Not sure about increasing the push of the wave but it does change the shape effectively.

I thought I'd be a Tige' owner forever but that's another story.

I obviously have no clue what you are working on, but I have a Z3 and I could be interested.
