I just read a thread. Someone asked how to use the gauges. Someone else said to go to the downloads, and read.

I was bored, so I did. In the Tach pdf, it explains how to use the instrumentation with the fuel flow sensor installed.

What do I have to do to add this sensor? Which sensor is it? Will I need a new wireing harness, or can I just add the other wire? Last time I had my dash apart, I saw an unused pink wire. According to the information it's pink that connects for the fuel flow input.

Any help would be appreciated. I know that many on here have installed the fuel flow sensor, and then had to find a place to put the display. It would be nice to use the features that are already available.

In another old thread this is discussed. Our gauges do not have that capability. I am trying to locate the thread but am not having much luck.
    Let it be!!!

Oh. Ok. In that case, don't worry about it.

Thank you though! I appreciate it.

        XPjim,

I am sure that on another thread this was discussed and Andrew from Tige said that the wires are already there for the fuel flow meter, you just had to buy and install the meter itself.

You will need two parts to make it work, Sender Unit - Faria Part Number SN0019, Wiring Harness - Faria Part Number HN0354.

Ok here is the old thread. I believe the answer is on page 5 from TIGE MD and my post i think on page 8

            [URL=http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=73&highlight=gas+gauge]

Faria makes 2 different gauges, one that displays ambient temp, water temp, fuel level and engine hours

The second one has a fuel management and engine hours

This is from the manual I referenced. You can order a transducer and harness for your existing guage but it is not a full management system with fuel used and left.

I believe elsewhere in the thread someone called Faria and said it would not do what we are desiring.

Did Tige finish testing the sender as Harvey mentioned? Does it work?

                  You guys are awesome.

Ok, question then. I have an extra spot on my dash. I believe it's about 2". It says Tige on it, but has never done anything. I think it was supposed to be a clock. ... Who needs one of those??? (Is it daylight?) Anyway, will the Navman fit that 2" cutout?

Next, I have a carb. Will the Navman work on that? All the posts I was reading are people with the MPI.

                  Thanks again.

                    Nevermind.

About the carb question. I went to the website, and it says "Suitable for carbureted 2- stroke engines from 50-300hp carbureted 4-stroke engines from 90- 300hp. Minimum flow rate 5 litres (1.3 US gallons) per hour."

Also says it takes a 2" hole.

                    Thanks anyway though.
