I will probably get flamed for asking especially with the other thread going about beautiful teak restorations but has anybody every put a SeaDeck pad directly on a teak platform? I am not sure how it would look or how well the teak would hold up underneath the pad and on the edges but I do think it would be nice to have something that is a little softer with more grip and possibly less maintenance than teak.

Yeah exactly, it is even worse on my 22V with the sloped transom because if you are sitting putting on the board your legs are out in front of you and the board wants to slide off the deck. I also frequently have small kids and grandparents out who both climb onto the platform with their knees and I think the pad might be softer for them.
I am guessing that it as long as it wasn't too oily when the pad was applied that it should stick fine but I am like you in that I am not sure how it would look and if the boards below would start to warp and crack due to lack of maintenance.
