hmm... well, lets see... I do oracle, SQL and Business Objects/Crystal Reports to pay for my Tigé addiction and post here in-between database queries. Does that make me an über-geek? If not, do I get credit for using the "ü" (umlaut) in "über?"

Meanwhile, back at the thread of dual batteries..............

O.K., so I'm making the final connections for all this crap last night and I stumbled upon a situation that I can't figure out. My boat originally came with four wires going to the battery. The two 0 gauge (power and ground) going to the starter and and two 8 gauge for all the accessories. Seems logical enough. With the two accessory wires disconnected, none of the accessories work. Blower, pump, lights, all that, except the stereo. With just the two 0 gauge starter wires connected to the battery the stereo is still getting power. WTF? Not really that big of a deal untill you switch the key to ACC and everything works except the stereo because the the isolator has cut the power to battery #1. I can't seem to track it down. It's not that big of a deal to run a new power wire from the stereo to battery #2 but still, WTF?

you have to make sure the polarity on your batteries are right, then hold down ALT and type "0252" its just an ASCII code.

I will give you credit for the umlaut. Brought back memories (nightmares) of high school German.
                Let it be!!!

I want Credit for the ° sign.

As in Nickypoo's temp is going to hit 108° before he blows his lid.

Okay back to battery power. Had an alarm instaled on my 22ve and wasn't sure how long it would run without a charge. It lasted 6 1/2 weeks during the bad weather. I thought that was pretty good! Okay back to were you were!! LOL!

Can anyone upload a really cool diagram of how to add all that and the second battery to a 21V?? I think this was on here before, but I can't find it.

                          Thanks

So the isolator goes between the starter battery and the second battery? I didn't see the connection to the starter on there.
