    The PanAmerica Road Trip

I know it's a stretch to call this Tige related in any way, but it's super important to me and I just want to share it with my Tige family. Also, since this forum is probably the best chance I have at getting some feedback from people all over the country I'm going for it. I apologize in advance to anyone who doesn't like it being here.

Anyways, on July 27th I'll be starting a 14 day, 10,000 mile road trip. One of my closest friend's father passed away last year from ALS (Lou Gehrig's) disease. Shortly before being diagnosed, he leased a Porsche Panamera (that sort of strange looking 4 door Porsche). Once he passed, his car sat unused, and the end of the lease is coming up, but there are still a bunch of miles remaining. We decided to burn those extra miles off with an epic road trip. Then to honor his memory, we decided to turn it into a charity event and try to raise a buck for every mile we drive. All the donations go directly to The ALS Association.

The other three guys that will be going are hilariously entertaining so we will be filming it all in hopes of giving a bit of comedic value back to those that help us with donations, or just spreading the word. We also think it will be a great thing to share with the family and friends who knew the guy because a trip like this would have been right up his alley.

If anyone here could do me a big favor and take a look at the website www.ThePanAmerica.com or our facebook page fb.com/thepanamerica I would sincerely appreciate it.

I promise it will make you just a little bit sad, followed by all kinds of happy.

Likes, and shares are just as valuable as donations for us at this point.

And I would certainly appreciate any tips for awesome stops along the way.

    Thanks.

Truly a saddening story. Glad you are going to all go out and have some fun. It will be some good therapy for your friend to do a road trip like this.

One thing looking at the route, may I suggest taking Hwy 1 from SF to Marina Del Ray? The drive thru Big Sur is exactly what that car is made for.

Yes, the 1 all the way down the coast is currently the plan! None have us have done it before and we are really looking forward to that part.

I'm looking for one of those cable wakeboard parks, close to our route, to stop at on the way. I know there are a few, but are some better than others? Anyone got any suggestions for a cool spot? I think it would be hilarious since one of the guys on the trip will almost certainly end up being dragged across the lake on his face. Plus, it's just something I've always wanted to do.

Thanks for the feedback, and thanks to everyone who took the time to look at this.
