I would suspect that includes a boat with working engines that you can actually take out and camp on the lake shore with. That is why it costs so much more.

WOW! just looked at Forever's website, no houseboats out of Temple but $585/nt out of Calville!!! Ouch... Sept 20-22 looks like a good weekend for us too. A room at the marina hotel is $95/nt in Temple and boat slips are $10/nt IIRC.

I know for years it was at Lake Mead but with the water down has anyone thought about maybe going to Cottonwood Cove just out of Searchlight. Easy lauching and water is not as low as Mead. Just a thought

Cottonwood cove might draw a few more people from Southern Cal. I'm going either way, but I just thought I would add that comment.

I checked back in with Laura French at the Fountain Site Lounge located in Calville Bay Marina. It seems more of a catering type situation and is spendy. She quoted me some #s to get the ball rolling. They could do BBQ, sandwiches, salads or whatever. $15 per person + 18-20% gratuity (she said the servers earn it by taking care of the groups needs). There is a set up fee of $100 and a clean up fee, another $100. They have a bar with drinks being extra, a shuttle cart to take people up and down the ramp. Their facility has about 12 slips and the courtesy dock has another 10-15 sips. She did say she knew a guy named Herb, from Echo Bay Marina, and she would ask about what they did for us in the past.

I'm not saying this is what we should do, it's just an option. It is a complete change of how this gathering got originated. I am still happy on a beach with sandwiches.

There was another place that looked great, but someone would have to join the yacht club at $450/year. The facilities look like they would work though?

Hey guys. Just checking in to see what's up with a planned reunion. I see there is the initial planning stage started. Tall thanks for putting it out there. That 3rd. week in September seems to always be a good one. Hopefully Tige will get involved and arrange for a pro or two to be there. That has always been fantastic of them.

Sorry I've been completely absent on here over the last few months, I've been working in OK! The date sounds good and location of Calville or Temple both sound good. I haven't been to Cottonwood but have heard the water is nice but it can get crowded? I called the dealership last week but need to make a trip over in person, will do that next week as I have 10 days off for the 4th. Thanks Tall for starting up the thread and everyone else for joining in and showing the typical enthusiasm for the event. Regardless of where or when, it WILL be a good time as always.

Side note, there will be some new members to the "tige family" this year......

If we can get a certain couple from Phx preggers then we would be a perfect 4 for 4!

NICE!!! That could turn into quite the surf crew!

So does anyone have a problem with the suggested date of Sept 20-22? Looks like Dan and I will be checking out Callville and Temple in the next few weeks. I'm thinking Temple will offer he best overall accomodations. Hotel, Campground, Marina......so except being an hour away from Henderson and 90 mins. from Las Vegas, I think it's a great option with Echo being out of business.

Wow, Temple Bar, that place brings back some memories, good and bad. When we lived in SoCal Temple Bar was the spot we went to get away from everyone/everything. You could go out there in July and find calm water or a private cove somewhere. Not sure if its quite like that now, but it was worth the extra drive for the seclusion.

I'll be heading out to talk to the new dealer either today or tomorrow, how many people are actually able to make it as of NOW with the dates proposed of Sept 21 and either Callville or Temple as the locations?
