Dan and Christy took a drive out there yesterday so he will have an update soon. I will be talking to both the local dealer and Tige today and also provide an update. I think at this point, Temple seems to be the location we are all leaning towards. I read back through the posts and see the following that seem to be planning on attending:

I enjoy talking to myself so much I'm going to do it again today....

Babe's Boat Care has agreed to send some goodies our in the form of a raffle prize and a goodie for all boat Owner's that attend! I visited the dealer last night and they are excited and will have a new boat for us to use. Dominic Lagace is trying to make the event but we are still working out the details of his travel. Has anyone been able to come up with some other sponsorship for the event? Anyone else looking for a hotel room? Anyone else interested in the shirts/tank tops? This thing is only 6 weeks away.....LETS GO!

Sorry Bad05.. slowly catching up on the thread... I have been at the Laughlin River Regatta all last week... still hungover I think... I need to try and get a room for the 18-22 I think... so long as those are the dates we are going.. I saw something that they are going to give us the Off Season rate? I'll pick up 4 Large tank tops too if that is what we are aiming for.. Also is there some sort of fee that has to be paid just for the tige meet up or are we good to assume that we are just meeting up to meet up... never been to one of these things before.. thanks all!

h2o - we've never had any fee before to attend. Although there is a National Parks fee for the people/boats since Lake Mead is a National Recreation Area. It's just a friendly meet up. In fact, we have to keep it that way, and can't very well make it a "company function" because of the permits and licensing that would be required from the National Parks Service. So we are just a bunch of friends that meet up and happen to usually have some involvement from the local dealer, Tige, and other generous sponsors (hopefully).

I have all of the rooms reserved in my name for the nights of 20 and 21. If you want a room for 18 and 19, you would just get that on your own and mention the event to get the discounted rate. PM me with a phone number or see earlier post for my # so we can talk more details. As dingle mentioned, there are no fees other than the park fee. Shirts, if we dos them are usually about $10 each bit there still is not enough interest so that is up in the air. If you have any connections that would be willing to donate swag for the raffle or handouts, please let me know....I've been calling and have managed to pick up a few good ones so far, see my next post later today for more updates.

That's what I was thinking.. sweet man.. I will be up there I hope.. going to reserve the room for a couple days before.. long haul for just two days! Is CHPthrill really coming too with his boat? That is some drive! Be cool to met him though as he hooked me up with all the advice and components for wiring my stereo! I have no hook ups for Swag but I will see what I can do.. Being in the military sometimes gets me some stuff so it may not be boating things but we will see! I need to call Exquisite Boat care.. love there Vinyl cleaner and swear by it... anybody going up for more than just the Friday and Saturday? Sound like we should have a few heads there already...

@ Black Widow- I was there a long long time ago and we tried to camp and the bugs came out at night and it got prettty bad.. we ended up just coming back to the marina and getting a room.. it was pretty dirty their too but they might have cleaned it up.. I'm staying at the marina for the AC and because I will probably have dogs.. definietly a little bit of a party animal myself so I will slam some beers with whomever is down!

We definitely hang out all day everyday, ha! I know we will be there Friday am to Sun afternoon and usually hang out every night with whoever is there. The campground isn't far away but is pretty basic. I haven't visually inspected the motel rooms but will appreciate the AC and shower for sure regardless of the condition. Being prior USMC Infantry, it doesn't take much to make me happy when it comes to field accommodations. HA!

I need to get some firm numbers on attendees for this year....head count of people and number of boats specifically.

We will have 4 people for sure in my boat and possibly a few more friends will join. I think at this point we will just stick to the campground and hang out with everyone at night. We camp out at Mohave just about every weekend so we are used to roughing it

I am going to try and take Friday off work so we can drive out Thursday night and stay through the afternoon Sunday.

Black widow , the campground looks fairly well maintained. Only two things keeping us from staying there is the 40' toy hauler won't fit and we need AC for some very preggers ladies

One more question, does everyone plan to pull the boats out at the end of each day? Or are there slips to keep the boats in overnight.

Here is the update:

We have confirmed a Pro Surfer for the event and I'm trying for one more. We have added at least 2 more sponsors to the mix, Wet Sounds and Monster! I'm still working on a few more and owe D&P some literature to help that process, hopefully tomorrow I'll have that ready. I spoke to the Marina today and they want to cater the event's lunch and are willing to modify their hours of operation to accommodate the event. I know some will still want to grill on the campfire, or at least some smores, but this could make life much easier for many of us. Please PM, email or call me if you for sure want a room. I will read back through the other pages but don't want to miss anyone. Keep in mind these are first come first serve and only 11 are available plus D&Ps which is in their name already.
