Had the Sideswipe on my centurion, got the Z1 on Friday and the first comment the wife made was that she could actually chat to me whilst we were dialing in the wave. I LOVE THE QUIETER exhaust, only Ducati's should get louder pipes.

Few things annoy us more than some guy hauling around with an unnecessarily loud engine (or unnecessarily loud sound system). We've got a guy on our lake whose hobby is tweaking and tuning his supercharged boat, and he makes back-and-forth runs the length of the lake to test it. That doesn't bother us because it's the heart of what he's doing, and more power to him (literally!). But wakeboats and ski boats aren't 70MPH speedboats... they don't NEED to be loud to perform their function. Got a loud boat? Take it to a big lake where you can keep your noise away from other people!
When someone drops their 30+ foot "big lake boat" in our smallish lake for a day and roars around in circles just to make noise with their above-the-waterline exhaust, we direct all sorts of ill will and bad karma in their direction.

First thing my wife said when we went out in our new Z3. I miss the sound of our 24v. Not that the 24v is loud.. It just has a bad *** sound to it to be respected. I do wish the z3 sounded like 24v. I have never had one complaint that the 24v was to loud. Always was complimented on how well it sounded.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

Could also offer a "Ventriloquist option" which projects your exhaust noise to the nearest non-Tige boat so they take the blame. Would require dual mufflers and an active rephasing system sort of like phased array radar or ultrasound probes.

I had a whine that developed during last season. Turned out to be my air cleaner. Blowing it from the inside toward the outside with an air compressor quieted things down again.
Other than that, I can't say that I have a whine anywhere. Can you describe it with more detail? Does it vary with RPM or hull speed? It is present at all RPM's and/or hull speeds? Can you record it and post it so we can hear it?
