Anyone think there PCM exhaust is to quiet?

Am I the only one that thinks the 343 exhaust is to quiet? I wish it had a little tougher rumble.

First thing my wife said when we demo'd the RZR. It doesn't sound like the other boat....I don't like it this quiet. We liked the throatier louder dual exhaust on our DD.

I look forward to having a silent electric boat someday. I love the quietness of our 409 PCM.

As long as it performs the same or better. the quieter the exhaust, the better unless it's a 42 cigarette with triple screws.

I heard a MC Xstar with a nice sounding exhaust last summer and it sounded good.

less I hear the engine the better... so i am all for it being quiet. I would rather hear my tunes then my exhaust! just fire it up in the driveway with the fake a lake and you will feel better about it all!

My uncle has the 343 in his Bu. It sounds nice I guess. Nicer than it need to, IMO. A noisy tow boat reminds me of a Harley. Nothing that slow should be that loud.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I tested a MC X2 before buying my RZR and it sounded good. It had a little more rumble and throatiness to it.

That louder exhaust would have caused me to dump another couple thousand watts into the stereo. I was able to get away with 5k watts due to the stealthiness of the PCM.

Quieter is better. Easier to talk with fellow passengers, easier to coach surfers/boarders behind the boat, easier to enjoy the sound system if that's your priority. The only reason to have a loud boat is to attract attention, and I'd rather other boats ignore us and leave us alone.

X2 I get enough attention with a lime green and black boat...

I should have added one more reason for a quiet(er) boat: To be considerate of other people on the lake!

Few things annoy us more than some guy hauling around with an unnecessarily loud engine (or unnecessarily loud sound system). We've got a guy on our lake whose hobby is tweaking and tuning his supercharged boat, and he makes back-and-forth runs the length of the lake to test it. That doesn't bother us because it's the heart of what he's doing, and more power to him (literally!). But wakeboats and ski boats aren't 70MPH speedboats... they don't NEED to be loud to perform their function. Got a loud boat? Take it to a big lake where you can keep your noise away from other people!

When someone drops their 30+ foot "big lake boat" in our smallish lake for a day and roars around in circles just to make noise with their above-the-waterline exhaust, we direct all sorts of ill will and bad karma in their direction.
