I vote scam. No phone number, very little information and there is no registration tags on the boat. In addition to that, you don't see a full size license plate on boat trailers in MN often if at all. We kept searching around MN for a good deal on a used boat, finally ordered new.

All of my last 3 inboard boat trailers had a full size license plate. From the MN dmv site (I'm assuming the pound rating is GVRW):
Registering your trailer also depends on weight:
Under 3,000 pounds―Requires a one-time registration decal that fits on the tongue of the trailer. It costs $55 for the permanent registration, plus additional processing and sales tax fees.
Trailers larger than 3,000 pounds require plates and must be renewed annually. Fees are based on weight.Contact your deputy registrar for help in determining exact fees.
BTW for the Z1, did you go through Heinen's? Those guys are great!
Glad to see some folks from MN on here as well. Anyone on Lake Minnetonka? Another member on the board, Yokes, and I both live on the lake and are always out looking for other Tigés! He has a 21i and I have a 21v so keep an eye open...
As far as that post goes me and a couple guys spotted it on CL too and I called BS. I usually think that if someone has that pristine of a boat, they will have boat loads of info and pictures of the thing to share. These little one picture no description ads worry me... Scam if you ask me!
Yup, scam. $50 says when you enquire she's in storage and the owner can get it out in a month or so, if you're serious just put a little deposit in his account and he'll hold it for you.......
"I'm deployed overseas and my boat is in storage. I've asked a buddy to sell it for me. Send me a cashier's check and when I receive it I'll have him pull it out of storage for you."
Seriously, I had a guy actually try that line on me regarding a jetski a few years ago. I thought it was particularly disgusting trying to play off our deployed troops like that.
Thanks for the info, I know with utility trailers the 3,000 pounds applied, I just haven't noticed many plates on boat trailers. Maybe I need to pay attention, or simply that we don't have that many "large" boats in Central MN.
Regarding purchasing, yes we do have it ordered through Heinen's. Paul and Brandon have been excellent. We have actually ordered a couple of custom wakesurf boards through Brandon, as he has something to do with IDOL Surf out of MN. We haven't surfed much before, but figured - why not go all in.
When I finally go my wife to go into Heinen's with me...trying to get the "green light" on the purchase, Brandon explained the Convex VX and her reply was "Might was well get it know because we will want it later" sounded like the right time to write the deal. Truth be told, we never even did a test ride, thanks to all the people sharing info on Forums around the web, we feel we are getting the best boat for our family. Wish us luck.
Your boat trailer does not even come close to weighing 3,000 pounds. I think most double axle trailers are going to come in at 1200-1500 pounds. Even a triple should be under 3K.
