Your boat trailer does not even come close to weighing 3,000 pounds. I think most double axle trailers are going to come in at 1200-1500 pounds. Even a triple should be under 3K.

The pounds rating for licensing purposes in MN is capacity, not physical trailer weight.

true, to be completely transparent though, tabs on the trailer are only about $12/year if I remember correctly. I did have to pay sales tax on the trailer though, which blows.
