We always tow with the cover on, but I don't believe I have the stock cover.
Hey and don't forget to check those lug nuts on that new trailer.

I like to tow with cover on for multiple reasons (dirt/dust, losing gear or seat covers, and to protect the windshield from rocks).
I also tow with the precursor the Evolution cover (same design and pattern). No straps prevent most of the gel coat issues with other covers. There are a few points that leave swirl marks on my black gel coat rail but these clean up easy with a bit of polish.

great looking ride mnprancing... to add to this.. I usually when traveling for long trips wrap my front hull with the plastic you put on carpet to keep any rock chips from happening on the front end.. you can buy a roll of this stuff at homedepot for like 13 bucks... over kill yes. I have rock tamers as well... but I just the idea my gel coat is chip free as possible. especially since summer is road construction season.

also... leaves no residue on your ride... figure that question might come up.

We don't tow much anymore now that we have lakefront property, but when we did tow I had really mixed emotions about this. I had a cover tear up very badly due to wind flapping (in an area that could not be secured). But now our 24Ve's seat cushions want to "float" around in the passenger compartment if the cover isn't on while towing. Makes for slow and nervous driving, with one eye always watching backwards in case a cushion starts to climb out of the boat. Had two of them do that when we launched this year; they only ended up on the floor but just imagine the damage if they ever hit the pavement!

Just towed my Z3 back from abilene this week. Towed with cover on because of crappy roads and weather. Did not notice any scuffing. My old cover on my 24v scuffed paint badly. I was very worried but came out ok.

              On mostly.

To the lake its on and after the lake its off to help dry it out some...Im only 5 miles away from the pond so its really no issue either way.
On them big trips behind the class A or the Suburban I haul with it on.

NOTE: The side ties that connect to the trailer can become an issue. I have seen Tige's get the wind chattering strap effect on the sides of the hull. Its buff-able but why invite work on your boat when you can be surfing....I choose not to use the straps and just insure that my cover is nice and tight.

Fun Fact! I travel everywhere with my swim deck cover on just to see if I can loose it........nope...still have it....for now!

Put a half-twist in straps like that and the chattering goes away.

Mine didn't come with nylon side straps so I just use dock line and I have no chattering.
