Size of leaf spring for converting mono to multi pack -- 98 extreme double axle

Ok...I'm gonna swap out my springs. I had one of my mono packs break last summer and the local place that fixed it used a 25 1/4" eye to eye multi leaf spring for replacement. It is obviously too short and the tandem axle equalizer thingy no longer sits level. When I measure the unbroken spring from the other side it measures out 26 1/2" eye to eye.

Question is: what spring should I use to replace them? I can find 26 and 27 inch springs but can't find one that is 26 1/2 inches. Has anyone else switched? I would just get replacement mono springs but I can't find them anywhere

    Thanks

Id run the 26" spring. The multi pack will flex more with weight vs the mono leaf. So by the time you get weight onto the spring it will compress and grow in lenght and will be pretty close to sitting normal when compared to the mono. The 27" will be to long and wont give enough room for the shackles to move when the spring is compressed and could cause it to bottom out onto the trailer frame giving you no flex to the springs.

Well Bakes I get to change springs tomorrow as well. Snapped a spring on the rear axle today. Got lucky and was able to use a ratchet strap to hold it all together and take the tire off to limp us back home (25miles). Very rough on the fender though, kinda bent it up but I was able to bend it back down. Tire heated fender up rubbing boiled a little paint off But could always be worse I guess. I'm going to change out all the springs even though dad has an old spare keep this from happening again. Did the 26" springs work out for you?

Well got the trailer back together today. The one spring snapped in half right at the center locator hole. I need up using 25-1/4" springs. To do this you have to change the straight equalizer out to an updated triangle equalizer that is 2" longer than the straight one is. Then you have to drill a new center hole for the equalizer in the center mount like the pic. After that need new bolts since everyone was tack welded. So $200 in parts and its updated where I can buy parts anywhere for it.
