    Throttle problems

I have an 99 tige. Last year i replaced both throttle cables. Now whenever i hit a bump or if i take my hand off the throttle the throttle will slowly close i have to hold the throttle where i want it. Is there a spring or something i can adjust to stop this from happening? Any info would help out. Thanks

Thats exactly how mine is. The only spring is the one on the throttle body or carb depending on which one you have. Theres really no way of adjusting it that Im aware of without a softer spring and you dont want that. Its just a side affect from having really smooth cables.

I added perfect pass and had to add an additional spring, it pulls back even quicker when you are driving under 30 mph.

My 23v throttle does the same thing, I wonder if there is anything to adjust behind the lever plate.

There is a cable brake that's available from teleflex and it increases the resistance on the cable as it travels through the sheathing by pinching it with a special J shaped fixture and a bolt. Mine had one on it originally but I removed it for safety thinking that if something happened to the driver as soon as they take their hand off the throttle it will immediately settle back to idle.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...
