yo tall.... or southern ut folks... what is the 411 on this lake... what feeds it... and how long is it usable during the year?

We went there a couple weeks ago on my buddies Malibu. It was a fun Lake to play on but Took hour and a half to have the boat steam clean from the mussles.

The lake is fed by 2 4 foot wide underground pipes that come from Quail Creek reservior. There is literally no drainage to or from the reservior other than those pipes.

They have found a few mussels, very few, and there is no evidence of a breeding population. They currently cannot find any mussels whatsoever.

I hope to have a firsthand report of the water temp on Wednesday...I am thinking about upper 50's with the weather we have had. We are close to triple digits this week, so hopefully it will warm up quickly, but usually isn't comfortable until June.

It is usable all year long, never freezes. I can go on about political water issues, because I think that they did not fill it all the way full this year on purpose. Even with that, the water will last all summer, the ramp is very long.

Don't get me started about the Lake Powell pipeline garbage.

There are some 8 pound largemouth bass in the lake.

Thanks tall... that is what I was looking for... we drove around the whole lake... never saw any water source.. had me stumped.
